Condors are known to have back feathers with a bald head but behind that is more than an ugly bird. Did you know that California condors have black stiff looking feathers but near the head they are fluffy. Andean males stand out because they have fluffy white feathers around their head and also have a comb like a chicken's. Did you know why condors look like eagles? Well that is because they belong to the raptor family like hawks and eagles. The average height of a human is 6ft tall but a condor's wingspan is 10ft long! The real question is why is their head bald? Well if you were eating meat with hairy arms and hand it would be hard to clean off but if you didn't have hair you would clean easy so that is why they have bald heads. This is why condors look the way they look.
